Good news is coming out of the Federal Polytechnic Nekede, Owerri (popularly called Nekede Poly). The school management has officially commenced Nekede admission 2025/2026, covering both the regular morning programme and the part-time admission.
This announcement has been eagerly awaited by thousands of applicants who wrote JAMB and selected Nekede as their institution of choice, as well as those who applied through the Nekede part-time admission route.
What This Means for
Candidates
For prospective students, this means that admission lists
will start rolling out in batches. Both UTME (JAMB) candidates for the Nekede
morning programme and applicants who applied for part-time admission can now
begin to check their status.

Those who chose Nekede during JAMB registration should keep a close eye on both the school portal and their JAMB CAPS profile to see when their names appear. Similarly, part-time applicants should regularly check the Nekede admission portal for updates.
Advice for Applicants
Stay updated online: Nekede often releases admission lists in
batches, so don’t panic if your name doesn’t appear immediately.
Upload O’Level results: Make sure your WAEC/NECO results are
properly uploaded on JAMB CAPS, as this is compulsory for regular morning
admissions.
Accept admission on CAPS: Once you see “Admission Offered” on
JAMB CAPS, quickly click Accept to secure your slot.
For part-time candidates: Ensure you follow the school’s guidelines on clearance and payment of acceptance fees once offered admission.
Federal Polytechnic Nekede admission 2025/2026 is now open,
and the opportunity is available for both morning programme students and part-time
applicants. Nekede remains one of the most sought-after polytechnics in Nigeria
because of its reputation for academic excellence, entrepreneurship focus, and
vibrant student life. With admission now underway, candidates are advised to
stay alert, follow official channels, and avoid falling for fake admission
agents.
Congratulations in advance to all who will make it to Nekede
this session!
